Spokane was a great weekend for almost everyone that showed. But more so for me! Friday my father and I headed out of his office and sped towards spokane at the blistering rate of about 20mph, due to his VW bus hualer.Never the less we go to Tys house at about 12:15,not bad, and emidiatly creashed on the busses foldable beds.
Saturday we got to the track about 2:00,and finally got to practice at like 4:00.I went out and learned the track, not realy pushing it, and having fun, but by the time Igot back I was flyin, I was just ON.I could tell I was quiker, thanks mostly so Shawn for doing timing earlyer that morning.Later on, I was talking to Seth about his extra and he offered me to ride it.Sweet! Not long after he realized that he needed to unload it and set it up,becuase to fit it on the trailer he must remove stuff, and lossen the clip ons, ect.So he instead lewt me ride his 50 race bike.Practice finnaly came, and after 5 minutes of runing on the bike I realized I needed to turn the gas on!Seth started it for me and I was off! Right out of the pits I could tell this thing was realy fast. After replacing all info inmy brain about shifting to replace it with 2smoke stuff, I became very fast, at least for me.That thing was so fun, my dad and I are realygoing to try to get me a ysr for next season, and he will inherit my xr to race.Sounds good to me.Later on, I went back to my xr and started trying harder to keep it in its optimal rev area and also became faster.Much to early practice day was over and it was time to head back to Tys.We ran out of gas on the way, and had to put in the premium gas we had bought for the bike into it.Needless to say,it liked it.
Sunday I rode my practices and was emidiatly feeling faster. My last one, somthing hit my chest and hurt realy bad.I went in, and thoughjt I hadgotten hit by a bug.My dad said he thinks I got stung.he opens my shirt to look where I am rubbing and a bee flys out.I think that removes all doubt. It looks like i got stung twice, once on the chest, once on the neck.Oww.I got a bad start on the heat and was struggling to keep up.Going down the straight, I thought I was in 5th gear, but was only in forth.I downshifted twice into the first corner as I normaly do, and badly overreved the motor. At this time I lost almost all power in the bike and emidiatly dropped to last, and stayed there. For the main, once again the wests extended a helpinghand, and let me ride the 11x bike.Yippy.I got as little bit better start this time, passed Shawn, and almost coucht Seth right away. But then he startedto show speed.Rightwhen I thought he had shook me, it startd to rain.Every one started to slow on the ysrs, and I started to catch Seth again.I tryed to pas him in the S's,but he shut me down and almost sent me into the grass, unintentionally of cousre. The next turn I tried to sling in front of him, and right as I started to get in front of him, he dropped the bike and went slideing. On the straight I did a little happy dance, and started to realy step up the pace. Before I knew it I had gained up on Ralph, and I passed him on the fast corner just before the straight. The rest on the race I couldnt catch anyone else.I came in 5th over all, and 3rd in my class.5/8,3/4.A great race for me.
Monday we went home and got a flat in the bus.We repaired it with our crappy spare, and my dad took me to millwailki in the car.The trip from spokane to vancouver turned out to be 4 minites off of 8hoursBest of all, I never crashed!.

Update: My Dad kept the bike at his house, and tore the head off.The adjuster for the valves had completely unscrewed itself. After putting it back on and adjusting it correctly, the bike ran better than it ever had. When I last adjusteed the valves it was at pats acres and we must not have gotten the bolts tight, but its ok now.Yipee.
