Its a little long...

Friday afternoon finally came around I couldnt have been more
exited."The worst part about having to wait is the time it gives you
to imagine all the 'what if's",Spy Game.I had so much time befor that
weekend that I had thought of every "what if" there is, down to the
dreaded "What if I cra...no I cant say it, its to horrible of a
thought, the big C word. You know, rubberside up on your bike.*Shudder*
Saturday, I had volenteered to help my father move, an activity I
have hated since I can remember, but I took the deal, beacuse in
return I got an all expenses paid trip to the track! We rented a U-
Haul, that by the way, doesnt load itself. That was one of the longest
days of my life, so long the callender tore.Ok, Im being exadurative,
so sue me.
Sunday couldnt come soon enophe, and when it did it didnt come
with enophe sleep.I couldnt fall asleep saturday night, so I was a
bit groggy to say the least. The night befor I stuffed everything in a
place where I couldnt forget it.Like my application that I was to
give to Ron tyhe next day.I put that in the bottom of my
boot. However,I hadnt planned on getting next to 0 sleep that night,
so in the morning I forgot it was in there and walked around with it
in there until my Dad asked me where I had put it and I pulled my
boot off, much to his confussion.
As we left it began to rain. Not a good sign.As we got neerer the
rain got harder. An even worse sign.I called my Mom, who was coming to
watch that afternoon, and told her rain or shine, I was
racin. However, as soon as we got to trusty old Pats Acres, the rain
stopped.I got all set up,did some last minute touches, and headed out
fo a practice.Drum roll please,I did it very smoothly.Nothing happend
exept a little leg trembling from the enormous amount of
adrinalin.WaHoo!Next up was my qualifieing. That too went amaizingly
smooth. No passes or anything like that, but there was this one
thing...As I entered turn two,a sharp right just after a sweeper to
the left, a guy on a ysr started to pass me. I had been drifting WAY
to the outside and slowing down ALOT to let everyone pass me but I
was in the middle of a turn so I couldnt do it now or I would fall on
my butt.So I decided to wait till the next corner to come off my
line.Turns out he was impatient, as he went blowin by me without a
care in the world.Untill he hit the grass and went slidding, almost
taking me out with him.I slowed down and went into the grass to avode
his bike, and my bike handles just a little better in the grass than
a YSR, since it was sorta made for it.After that, I had no problems
in the Q.
This is where the cunfusion was started. My Dad was out on the
phone, giving my Mom directions, when a guy came over to West and told
us we were up bnext.I was under the silly empression that there was
only one class running that day, mostly because when I had been told
otherwise I was still half awake, and thats being optomistic. So I got
suited up and headed out.A couple of laps in, I entered turn one too
fast and drifted to the outside much to fast.I was already trailing
the front, practicing somthing Ron had told me,so i put on litlle
rear brake, but it was much to late for that. The rear locked up, and
I went slidding, in the same manner I did just after my first
ravce,in the same corner and everything.I bemt the shifter and went in
(still to an empty pit) and whacked it a coupl of times.i Went out
again, but it just popped back, so it pitted it for good.Only later
did I find out that I wasnt even supposed to be there.
My main went fine, nothing exiting, other that studding one of the
fastest people Ive ever seen ridden( Ron) while I was on
srtaights.Ill have to learn not to become a spectator during a race
when the bike becomes a little faster and Im actually in traffic!
Towards the end I was able to drag my toe, and knee, and I will now
need pucks.( Im already leaveing a mark on there from dragging in the
carousell).
