The Kansas City Young Democrats serve as the voice of the Democratic Party for young professionals, college students, and high school students in Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. The official ages for a Young Democrat are between 13 and 35, but we welcome all Democrats to attend our meetings and events. We have our regular meetings on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 P.M., generally alternating between Wyandotte and Johnson Counties, and participate in other activities with senior parties during the month. We also have more purely social events for Young Democrats, usually about once a month, but there is no set schedule.
The KCYDs are an official chapter of the Kansas Young Democrats, which is affiliated with the Kansas Democratic Party. Getting involved with the Young Democrats is a great way to get involved with the Democratic Party, learn more about the political process, meet elected officials at all levels, and just generally have a lot of fun with other Young Democrats from all over the state!
