The Mar Menor is a natural salt water lagoon that boasts gentle winds and warm waters. La Manga was formed over centuries by the currents of the sea. These currents pushed the sand onto an underwater range of volcanoes. This provided the coast of Mar Menor with many islands and volcanic islets to explore.
