This is accomplished through the technology creation and artistic application of porcelain veneers. These are thin shells of ceramic (porcelain) that are attached to the front surfaces of the patient's teeth. Porcelain veneers offer the patient a natural looking set of teeth and can dramatically alter the following aspects of a person's teeth:

How It Works
After determining which teeth should receive porcelain veneers, one of two methods will be used. Either your dentist will take an impression of your teeth and send them to a lab with exact instructions as to how your veneers are to be done. You will then be fitted with temporaries until your new porcelain veneers are ready for you.
Or, if your dentist has CEREC technology, digital images of your teeth will be taken and sent to the machine's computer. Then your dentist will create images on the computer's screen of how your veneers are to look. The computer portion then sends the information to the milling unit of the CEREC machine. The milling unit forms your porcelain veneers from a small block of ceramic that has been colored by your dentist to match your teeth.
If your dentist has the capability of CEREC technology, your porcelain veneers may be completed and attached in the same day.
