Code of Conduct for Troop 150

As a Scout in Troop 150:

I will be guided by the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
I will show respect to adult leaders, other scouts, parents and guests.
I will follow reasonable directives from an adult or junior leader.
I will listen and pay attention to others at all times.
I will not use foul language (cursing) at any time.
I will not use any language that is derogatory toward another person's race, age, physical
appearance, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
I will not participate in physical, verbal, sexual abuse or hazing of other Scouts.
I will not use, purchase or have any alcohol, illegal drugs or smoking materials in my possession
        while attending any Scout function.
I will not use or have any fireworks, firearms or other weapons in my possession while attending
        any Scout function.
I will respect the property of other Scouts at all times.
I will not take or use anything that belongs to another Scout without that scout's permission.
If I break another Scout's property, I will pay for it - whether I had permission to use it or not.
During the meetings I will not leave the meeting areas for any reason, unless an adult leader has
granted permission and there is proper supervision. This includes leaving with a parent.
I will leave any meeting or camping area as clean or cleaner than I found it.
I will properly wear either the Scout class A or B uniform at every meeting or any scouting
function unless told not to by the Scoutmaster.
I will accept discipline from adult leaders as merited by the offense.
I will strive to work as part of a TEAM at all times.

Serious or continuous behavior unbecoming a Scout may result in the following actions or
       combination of actions:

A verbal correction, a conference with the adult leaders in charge, a group meeting defining the
inappropriate behavior and consequences, or restriction to camp or patrol area.
A conference with the Scout and his parents or guardian.
Assessment of service hours as a penalty.
Removal of the Scout from the activity, i.e., sending the Scout home.
Requiring the presence of a parent or other responsible adult before permitting the Scout to participate in
       future activities.
Withholding of rank advancement for a period of time.
Suspension from troop activities, which may be followed by a period of probation.
      Expulsion from the troop.

Actions taken by adult leaders as a result of infractions will vary depending upon the boy's age, years in
Scouting and past history. Older, more experienced Scouts are expected to set a good example for younger
boys. The older and more experienced a Scout is, the less any infraction will be tolerated. Boys creating
repeated and chronic problems may be dealt with more severely than others guilty of the same conduct.
Each situation will be resolved on a case-by-case basis.

Adults: The use of alcohol is prohibited at all Scout activities and the use of tobacco is restricted.
Smoking by adults is acceptable away from troop activities and out of sight of Scouts.

Parents and Scouts should read the Code of Conduct, sign it together and return it to the Troop.
Scouts should review this from time to time and act accordingly.
