Rainbows and Tears

Twas twilight when I drifted to a dark and lonely shore
Twas twilight when I shivered and felt alone once more
The shadow reached across me and a chill went down my spine
I knew that I was falling, the tears I felt were mine

Somedays the sun will hide and blackness comes inside
The days are long and lonely and I just want to hide
I asked myself the question, but no answer do I find
Why did God choose me to walk this narrow line?

It takes a lot of angels to hold me when I'm down
It takes a lot of love to remind me when I frown
It takes a great big family, with hope and trust in God
To lift me from the valley and reach the mountain top

Love can conquer battles that nothing else can touch
Love can make a miracle when everyone's given up
Love can mend a broken heart and lift you when you're down
Love can hold you tight at night, when no one is around

Your rainbow hides beneath the clouds,Its waiting for the sun
One day the rain will stop and laughter will come
You'll feel the sunshine on your face, you'll feel the morning dew
You'll hear a voice singing and it will be you

Reach and touch the mountain top
Reach and touch the stars
Reach and touch the clouds above
While He holds you in His arms

Early In The Morning

Early in the morning the sun peeks through the clouds
A new day is beginning and it brings to me a smile
I remember stormy days with dark clouds overhead
I remember nights of darkness while laying in my bed
At times I felt defeated and wanted to give in
But Jesus held my hand and forgave me all my sins

Early in the morning as the birds begin to sing
I look at all the beauty created here by Him
The colors of the rainbow, the sound of splashing rain
Eagles flying high above, wildflowers, golden grain
Waves that burst upon the shore, made of crystal sand
Sunlight  streaming through the clouds, a gift from God to man
