April 23 -- Daniel R. Weinberg -- President and sole owner of the Abraham Lincoln Book Shop, Inc. since 1984, having previously been co-owner since 1971. He pursued his undergraduate work in history at Temple University, Philadelphia and his graduate work in history at New York University. The Abraham Lincoln Book Shop, Inc. has acted as consultant in the assembling of some of the major collections in the United States both public and private. He has delivered numerous talks on the collecting and value of books and manuscripts as well as determining authenticity of historical documents. His memberships include The Lincoln Forum, The Abraham Lincoln Association, Manuscript Society, Professional Autograph Dealer�s Association, Universal Autograph Collector�s Club, Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, American Booksellers Association and is pat President of the Civil War Round Table in Chicago. His new book, Lincoln Assassins: Their Trial and Execution ... an Illustrated History, was published in 2001.

May 28 -- Dr. William G. Piston -- Dr. Piston received his Ph.D. in history from the University of South Carolina. He has taught at the University of South Carolina, Louise S. McGehee School in New Orleans and currently is professor of history at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield. He is the author of Lee�s Tarnished Lieutenant: James Longstreet and His Place in Southern History and the co-author of The Second Battle of the Civil War and the Men Who Fought It, Wilson� Creek. He was one of the featured speakers at the Wilson�s Creek Symposium �1861: Storm over the Land� in April, 2001.

September 24 -- James I. Robertson, Jr. -- Mr. Robertson, a native of Danville, Virginia, earned his Bachelors of Arts from Randolph-Macon College and a Ph.D. at Emory University. He teaches the largest Civil War history class in America, with an average of 250 students per semester. He is the recipient of every major award given in the field of Civil War history. He is presently Alumni Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies at Virginia Tech. Selected by the Virginia Press Association for the �Virginian of the year 2000 Award�. His 950 page biography, Stonewall Jackson: The Man, The Soldier, The Legend won an unprecedented eight national awards and is now the basis for a movie in production. His latest work Standing like a Stone Wall, is a biography of Jackson for young readers nine to ninety. He appears regularly in Civil War programs on the Arts & Entertainment Network, the History Channel, C-Span and Public Television. He also does a weekly show for Roanoke public radio. His award winning books include The Stonewall Brigade, General A.P. Hill, Soldiers Blue & Gray, and Civil War! America Becomes One Nation.

October 22 -- Wiley Sword -- A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Business Administration, Mr. Sword is a retired businessman, author, historian and collector of antique historical arms, letters and manuscripts. For forty years he operated Techni-Cast, Inc., a manufacturer�s representative agency handling automotive lines. He is on the National Advisory Board of the Civil War Preservation Trust. His books include Southern Invincibility, Mountains touched with Fire, Embrace and Angry Wind, Sharpshooter: Hiram Birdan, Firepower From Abroad, President Washington�s Indian War and Shiloh: Bloody April. He is featured as an historian on Arts & Entertainment Network, Civil War Journal V programs, Combat Series. His next publication due out in the fall of 2001 is The Historical Henry Rifle.

November 26 -- Terry Winschel -- Mr. Winschel is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. He holds both a Master of Social Science and an Educational Specialist degree from Mississippi College. He is a twenty-five year veteran of the National Park Service and has served at Gettysburg National Military Park, Fredericksburg National Military Park, Valley Forge National Historical Park, and is currently historian at Vicksburg National Military Park. Mr. Winschel has written 46 articles on the Civil War and done more than 80 book reviews. He is the author of The Civil War Diary of a Common Soldier, Vicksburg: Fall of the Confederate Gibraltar, Triumph & Defeat: the Vicksburg Campaign, The Corporal�s Tale and Alice Shirley and the Story of Wexford Lodge. He is also co-author of �Vicksburg: a self-guiding tour of the battlefield�.
