SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME FOR MEMBERS
This Scheme is applicable to the following members and the following actions are to be adopted to implement the scheme.
Those who are residing at Calicut Corporation (i.e. all the locations within the limit of Calicut Corporation and the extended area from Mathottam to Beypore, as per the Bye-Law of the Association), at the time of the entrance of the membership, are eligible to avail of the benefits of this scheme.
Being a member of the Association, one is compelled to leave Kuwait due to accidents or fatal diseases or die due to sudden other causes.
Those who are terminated from the present job or ceases himself to relieve from the job so as to leave Kuwait permanently.
Being a member, one goes on vacation and unable to return to Kuwait within six months due to accidents or other obstacles like physically or mentally weakness or sudden death in his native country.
The amount of contribution @ KD.10/-, collected from each member, in due course, as and when the necessity arises according to the strength of the Association (about IRS.1,00,000/- from 100 members) is totally accumulated for this fund and the deserved member is eligible to avail of the same amount, under the benefit of this scheme.
Due to the reasons as mentioned under clauses 2, 3 & 4, one member appears to leave Kuwait for permanent settlement in India and inform of the same to the President/Secretary of the Organisation, urgent and necessary arrangement will be done to collect the contribution @ KD.10/- from each member so as to distribute the accumulated sum to the deserved member, within 45 days of his notification of farewell, if possible. Due to any cause, the distribution of the settlement amount may not be delayed more than 60 days.
One who fail to pay the contribution amount of KD.10/, in due course, without any legible reasons, his membership will automatically be cancelled and he is not eligible to regain the membership, further.
One member fail to pay the contribution amount due to the reasons like unemployment or vacation, he is liable to pay the same after wards.
If more than one applicant come under the benefit of this scheme to avail of the settlement amount simultaneously, the consideration should be accounted on the basis of the first come first served. In such circumstance, the contribution for the first applicant will be collected first and the collection for the others will be collected only during the next consequent months. In such drastic situation, care should be taken to co-operate with the Organisation to implement the scheme within the time- limit itself.
Only those who regularly and continously pay the membership for at least one year and continue the membership, are eligible to apply for the benefit of this scheme.
The member who passes away during his stay at Kuwait, the ticket charge needed to send his corpse to his native land will be adjusted from the settlement amount of this benefit scheme and the balance amount will be sent to his nominee/heir/successor.
By the way, if the charges for sending the dead body may be spent by the relatives or friends of the deceased or by other sources, the total eligible settlement amount will be sent to the nominee/heir/successor, as he declared in the nominee-statement
In no way, the member who is benefited under the Social Security Scheme of the Association, is restricted to avail of any other benefits from his employer or any other sources.
