KOZHIKODE CITY MUSLIM ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES ID-SOCIAL AT KUWAIT ON FRIDAY, 1st MARCH. 2002.

 

Id Social Program organized by Kozhikode City Muslim Association at Taj Auditorium, Abbassiya, on Friday, the 1st March was inaugurated by Dr. Amir, President, Friday Forum.  The Programme commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Jawhar N.

 

K.T. Beeran Koya, President of  the Organization presided over the function while Secretay, P.P. Moideen Koya, welcomed the audience.

 

Inaugurating the function, Dr. Amir requested the audience to understand Islam;  it will enable us to find the truth.  He also traced out the historical back ground of the celebration of Bakrid, IdulAzha.  Really, the life of Prophet Ibrahim is full of sacrifice.  

 

During presidential speech, K.T. Beeran Koya  affirmed that the creation of man with different races and  of various colours by the Almighty was only to distinguish them from one another and not to make them opponent with each other.

 

He added : While all the religions stand for peace and welfare, man is not considering it in a true sense; he is  deviating from the real path  to gain his selfish motives. He reminded of the noble services contributed by Mother Teresa, in the path of humanitarian social fields.

 

Highlighting the hospitality of the natives in olden days, Kozhikode was attracted by the Arabs because of her abundant spices and valuable wood.

 

Tracing the formation of KCMA, he said that the organization was formed to unite people who are born and brought up at Calicut City. It was constructed, merely based on two schemes: 1. Social Security Welfare Scheme  for eligible members for permanent return to India  2. Marriage Monetary Scheme for daughters of eligible parents of Calicut City inhabitants, in our country.

 

Ms. Sideeq Valiyakath (Secretary, muslim Educational Society, Kuwait Unit), P.C. Harish and Raju Sakariya (Secretary,Kottayam Association)  felicitated the function.

 

During the felicitation speech, Siddeeq Valiyakath noted that Social work, if it is small or big, is significant and appreciable.  Behind the development of any Social Organization, there must be one of noble social workers, as a fore father or establisher.  He reminded of the noble service of Dr. Abdul Gafoor for the establishment of Muslim Educational Society.

 

More over, Mr. Raju Sakariya, comparing the noble man with a small rose plant, said that  rose, in its short size,  is not bothered of its height but do its duties, satisfactorily, to extend fragrance to surroundings.  Like wise, we must be satisfied with what we have and extend our service what we can do.

 

Mr. P.C. Harish, submitted the audience of his view to understand one’s mind by him self; good mind will do good service for others.

 

During the meeting, a resolution was passed stating : “Creation of Fraternity and Brother hood in human minds is the only panacea to reduce tensions among different religious sects.”
