Welcome to the Low Brass of Kershaw County's web page! We figured since percussion and flagline could have seperate pages, we could too. I don't feel like this page is a rip off, ahem, but more of a variation on a theme. If you have seen the CHS drumline page, or the preupdated band page, you would know what I mean. Feel free to browse the different sections of this page to learn about the different sections and their members.

Hey y'all its me Marie and I'm really glad that I can be working on the BEST Low Brass page EVER, thanks to Ryan Hill, the former webmaster, for letting me take over. This year the Lugoff-Elgin Marching Pride is doing a piece called Portraits Of Performance by Philip Sparke, and as last year the sousaphones are the best, we're the "Clock" as G.P would say. The Scarlet Regiment is performing Scarlet Dreams which is composed of spanish jazz. The selections are El Torro Caliente, Concierto de Araunjez, and Malaguana. I hope y'all will like what I do and if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me.

We are the Low Brass sections of the Lugoff-Elgin Marching Pride and the Camden High School Scarlet Regiment . We are the base of the entire band. With out us, the dark undertone sound would be gone and all you would hear would be the squeaking of clarinets, the laser tone of trumpets and horns, and the incessant beating of the percussion. Lets face it, do you ever hear the flutes?? With out us there is no foundation. When the whole band has to match a pitch in the marching season, who do you tune to? The sousaphones! When percussion isn't playing, who keeps tempo? The Low Brass! We are the backbone of this band. Face it, you couldn't have a band without us!
