Born on Earth, his twin brother and he lived with their parents on a small farm in North America. The two twins didn't start school until they turned seven years of age. They went to a marine school located in Europe. They both went through the classes with the two highest grades. But the two did have some differences in the classes. Chris's abilities were more trained in marine weapons and war tactics. Michael's abilities were more on security and tactical systems. After they graduated, their parents brought them home to take a year off before starting Starfleet Academy.
Four months into the year break, their father had a fatal heart attack and past away. Michael's mother sold the farm and moved in with her brother. Six months later, the twins weren't going to go to Starfleet Academy but their mother asked them to go in their father's honor.
When the twins entered the Academy, they decided to take different ways. Chris went for marine training, and Michael wanted to train in security and tactical abilities. After the academy saw Michael�s scores, they wanted to test his abilities on an Academy ship. He was the acting Chief Tactical/Security officer on the USS Humor. His scores were has a Vulcans ability at handling manual locking-and-firing capabilities at tactical.
Not long after he graduated the Academy, he was assigned to a small defense station on DS 6. He became the Assistant Tactical Officer as an Ensign. He was stationed on the Station for over two years before being promoted to Lieutenant (JG). He continued to work on the station a little bit more before he was given an offer on a starship as Chief Tactical/Security Officer.
