Once a week the class goes to “Chinese Culture” lessons. The
teacher speaks in Cantonese. This week, the lesson was about
architecture. What is the difference between the Chinese Temple of
Heaven and the Eiffel Tower in France? |

Just like Cottage Lane
students, those children who had taken instrument lessons during the year
performed for the rest of the school. Many played violin. They
were very good! |

There are two classes at each grade level. Grades 4, 5, and 6 have
lunch and a break from 12:20 to 1:15. Some children eat sandwiches, but
many bring noodles or rice, vegetables and cooked meat. |

What utensils do they
use for eating? |

Yew Chung School has a
large cemented area for the children’s playground. Basketball is very
popular. Notice the gym in the background. There are no walls on
this side so the children can play inside or out. |
