
The annual activity of the Foundation, the Medical Camp-1999, was
organised on December 4, 1999 at the Jai Kisan Girls Inter College, situated in the
village Dulhera near Modipuram.
The camp began at 9OClock with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Dr.Roshan
Lal, Chief Medical Officer, Meerut and Guest of Honour Shri M.P.Tyagi,
Executive Director, Modi Rubber Limited, Modipuram.After the auspicious lightning
of lamp by the Chief Guest and release of the Annual Magazine-1999 of the Foundation
'FOOTPRINTS' by the Guest of Honour, the Chairman of the Foundation, Sh.S.P.Gupta
highlighted the contribution of the Foundation in the promotion of social welfare and
educational activities in the region and gave a brief overview of the programmes on the
anvil. He said that the Foundation is totally committed to the cause of the poor and the
downtrodden and it aims to set up a charitable school and a hospital in the same
direction.
In his enlightening words, Dr.Roshan Lal spoke about the importance of good health and
advised the students and other villagers to take proper diet with fruits and green
vegetables to keep fit. He appreciated the efforts of the Foundation in contributing to
the cause of the society and also anounced the granting of membership to the Pulse Polio
Immunisation Programme undertaken by the Government of India to the Foundation.
After the Chief Guests address, trees were planted in the school premises by the
Chief Guest and the Chairman of the Foundation.
The medical camp was marked by the general as well as specific health check up of all the
students and the villagers. The doctors Dr.Sandeep Mithal and his team of
eye specialists, Dr.Pradeep Chandra (general physician), Dr.P.K.Mittal (skin
specialist)and Dr. Anil Rastogi(general physician) gave medicines to the sick
people and rendered valuable advice to them. Through the camp, eye operations of some 80
villagers for cataract were conducted free of cost at the L.L.R.Medical College, Meerut.
Next to follow was the prize giving ceremony wherein the class X topper of the school, Km.Mamta
was awarded by the Foundation. Lastly, uniforms and stationery items were distributed
among the students by the Chief Guest.The programme was concluded by the Principal
of the school, Smt. S.B.Mangotra who proposed the vote of thanks.
