| December 2001 CHRISTmas Blessing to each of you Dear people, We write to you throughout the year, but THIS is the time of year we look forward to YOUR cards and letters and hearing about YOU and what God has been doing in YOUR lives! We trust the Lord to meet your needs in the New Year ahead as you give to help others. We've been adopted! That's right...Efrain, "Efra" by those close to him, no longer does he call us Kelvin & Charity, but rather "Tio!, Tia!" (Aunt & Uncle). Efra was in the Vangaurd training last year and now is as intern in the church, he is a wonderful cook and we team together in making dinners to sell after services, raising $ to help buy the church building. He has a heart for missions and a heart to serve, and that he does, cleaning the bathrooms and floors at the church, somtimes until wee hours of th emorning, making them ready for each service. Kelvin has been encouraging Efra in raising up a support team, by matching any new support he receives. Please pray for Efra, that God would show Himself Mighty on his behalf and work miracles! Charity's Mom came to visit us the first of December and we had a delightful time!! (her last visit was over 12 years ago) It was an important trip as they needed to hug on one another after the loss of Charity's Grampa just 7 weeks ago. The Lord Blessed her for coming down here, in that He touched her back and she went home to Oregon without the pain she's had for countless years! What an amazing & loving God He is! One day while at the beach with Charity's Mom, we met a gal named Angeles, who braided the girls hair. She shared her heart with us...her life has been full of rejection and pain. She cried, asking how she could ever forgive those people who had hurt her so badly....Kelvin had the privilege of leading her into relationship with Jesus! She left us walking down the beach, a young woman with a burden lifted and a lighter heart! The Lord is Good and Merciful, He shows us this daily, and it all began with His virgin birth!
