Tepic is located in the mountains, 2.5 hours or aprox 100 miles inland of Puerto Vallarta. The closest international airport is in Puerto Vallarta. For the most part the climate in Tepic is warm by day,cool by night. Nayarit is one of the poorest and least evangelized states in Mexico. Most villages are without a living church.
