The team was awarded the sportsmanship trophy for their great attitudes on and off the field. Our team participated in every event held that weekend and let me tell you there was a lot happening. For example they had a golf tournament. Congratulations to Bill Laven and Kevin Kottke for winning first place and bringing home a huge trophy. Also, Billy won the longest drive contest at over 320 yards Holly SmacK!!! Regarding the softball games, lets just say theres always next year! (0-3) A word from your grand knight: Dog days of Summer-the heat is on! I am sure that all of our families are very busy winding down summer and getting ready for school. Surge That is the new theme for the 2004-2005 year. Which unofficially we are Star Council for 2003-2004 year? That is an achievement few councils have reached. There is a surge to continue this drive for next year and beyond. This is the goal that our new district deputy has. Dan and I are working towards a new plan that will include our local parishes and eligible men. Stay as involved this year next year to make our council, star again. Thank you team Storm Lake. Fraternally, your Grand Knight, Thayne Benz |
