From the dock it is a five minute ride to either the open Atlantic and reefs for fishing and diving or the Gulf, famous for its backcountry fishing.
The nearby town of Marathon has several new shopping malls including a Publix supermarket and a Home Depot. A short drive or a $10 cab ride will take you from one end of Marathon to the other offering lots of shopping and dining. You can have a tropical island vacation with all the amenities of home.
