Guidelines
Videos
- Videos should have accurate alcohol facts included and have a clear message about the dangers of alcohol.
- All videos need to be pre-approved by Mr. Oxford before they are recorded (outline of video). No use of moving vehicles and alcohol.
- VIDEO APPROVAL
Power point
- There needs to be at least 12 slides.
- The information needs to be clear.
- Print out the slide show.
- At least three pictures.
- Include hotlines and resources for people to get help.
Story/Diary
- Subjects: an alcoholic, children of alcoholics, recovering alcoholic, having an alcoholic friend
- Two pages written or typed
- Be creative
Poems
- The poem will be associated with alcohol and the trauma, damage, and destruction that it causes to people.
- The poem should be one page typed
- Font 12/double spaced
- Center the poem
- If the poem is short, write two poems to equal one page.
- Creative writing put into the poem will help you gain a higher grade.
- Do not copy poems off the Internet that would be considered plagiarism.
Chapter Outline
- Chapter outline of alcohol unit in health textbook.
- Outline needs to be typed.
- Headings should be bolded.
- All important vocabulary words (underlined) and sections in the unit should be included in the review.
Puzzles
- The puzzles need to be typed and have an answer key included.
- There should be questions to answer to determine what words should be searched for.
Grading
- Creative (unique) work can raise your grade.
- The point system posted for each project is the highest one can receive.
- Typed out work increases your chances for a higher grade.
