You shouldn't breed a self colored rabbit to a silver marten--the silver marten rabbit carries the chin gene and if you get a self colored rabbit with the chin gene, it is an unrecognized color. You shouldn't breed a self colored rabbit to the sable or smoke pearl marten due to the shading of these two varieties. Otters and self colored rabbits is probably OK to breed.
You shouldn't breed a self colored rabbit to an agouti. A ***** indicates that the majority of the rabbits will be an unrecognized color, sometimes referred to as a cinnamon. Any self colored rabbit which gets the chin gene will also be an unrecognized color

Breeding a self colored rabbit to an AOV rabbit
You shouldn't breed a self colored rabbit to a himalayan, you won't get really good points on your himies, also orange and fawn rabbits are "somewhat" shaded, and shouldn't be bred to a self rabbit, the tort is just a black rabbit that lacks the full extension of color. It is OK to breed a black rabbit to a tort, but the other self colored rabbits could result in unrecognized colors (if not in the first breeding, then down the line ) such as blue tort, lilac tort, etc.
