The Millenium Trip - December, 2000 (Seattle)
Have I ever said that my nephew, Misko is really cute? Oh yeah, and really well behaved. He whines for like a second, and then does whatever you ask him to. Ruzena and Jana made us fabulous meals like homemade chicken soup with homemade noodles. Mark made pancakes (three pans at a time, perfectly golden.)
Here is a picture of Misko looking at the Christmas tree with all the presents underneath. Yep, you guessed it, they are all for him..

Here's a picture of Misko with Ruzena. The big present in the background is a Casio keyboard from my father and Linda. It was the hit of the day. After Misko opened that, wild horses couldn't take his attention away. Actually, wild horses couldn't take my attention away, either. It was cool to play with. I never imagined "The Ants Go Marching" would sound so great played by harpsichord. Dad, can I have a keyboard next Christmas?

We came, we ate Frieda Kahlo food, and then Naoto and I were off to Smith River in Northern California. We had "The Honeymoon Suite" reserved at the Best Western Ship Ashore. It was supposed to have a jacuzzi in the room...
On to Northern California and Banana Slug Haikus.
