Final Project Proposal
For my final project. I originally wanted to create an object in Max/Msp that would take a sound signal as the input source of the object.  The object would generate some sort of spatialization effect and give data on the virtual locations of the generated effect as the outputs.  However, after some researches on "Spatialization" and "Virtual Location" on Google.com, I found some interesting experiments but most of them are quite complicated.  Therefore, I've decided to drop this idea as my final project topic.  Instead, I will like to continue working on the unfinished part of my midterm project, the implementation of the string instrument diagram in the textbook.  I'll try to find more resources on the web, although I didn't have much success last time.
Update:
After further consideration, I've decided to go back to my original idea, which is building a Max/Msp object that would create an effect in a sense of virtual location.  The input of this object would be the location of the sound source and, possibly, the sound source itself.  The output coming out of this object should include the data of the virtually created locations of the source sound  and, possibly, the sound effect.  Further details will be given in the rough draft paper.

3/21/2002 Update:
I added a figure showing the setup of the system and the parameters.  Also, the file type for the final project paper has been changed to a HTML page for easier access.
