By day, newly minted Red Sox Manny Ramirez made goodwill stops (like the one shown here at the Home For Little Wanderers) as part of this week's Player Community Caravan. But when the sun went down, Manny got a tour of Boston's hot spots, courtesy of teammates Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Varitek and Brian Daubach, who took the team's latest multigazillionaire on a little pub crawl.

The Sox, who are in town for their regular winter goodwill gig, started the night at a dinner for suite holders at the freezing-cold 600 Club. That's where ace Pedro Martinez taunted the team's richest player, urging Manny to spend some of his dough ``to put heat in this place.''

Then the boys hit the bars, starting at McCarthy's on Boylston Street. After that, they repaired to the nearby Daisy's, (where Nomar was not observed), and finished off the night - with Nomie - at The Rack, where Celtics Paul Pierce, Randy Brown and Antoine Walker were celebrating their victory over the Miami Heat.

So it appears Manny's been fully apprised of all the hot watering holes. By the way, do you know how the Sox' $160 million-man traveled to the Hub? By private jet, of course! But we hear he stuck Daubach with the taxi fare to Daisy's. Brian was reportedly rather put out about it. . . .
