BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

The Zhoulin Bio-Spectrum Treatment device or also known as Biofrequency Spectrum (BFS) Apparatus is an invention which is believed to provide �natural therapy� that will cure diseases without medicine. The Bio-Spectrum treatment device is a new type of Mineral infrared device invented in China. Unlike conventional infrared therapeutic devices, this device features a plate coated with a proprietary mineral formation consisting of 33 elements (old version V1.0, new version 3.0 has 43 minerals). When heated by an electric heating element, this mineral plate emits a special band of electromagnetic waves in the infrared range of 2-50 microns which simulate the Bio-Spectrum waves released by the human body itself. The figure shown above is the 3rd generation 311C model, one of the latest design of Zhoulin Bio-spectrum device.

Zhoulin, the inventor, revealed that the human body emits various types of energy: light, heat, and magnetic field, and these energy comes out in combination with certain frequency, known as Bio-spectrum. When one falls sick, the Bio-spectrum will be weakened. As such, the device radiates EM wave within the Bio-spectrum range to replenish the weakened Bio-spectrum.

The Bio-Spectrum Treatment Device is helpful in various disorders via its 5 main functions:

1. Improve blood and other body fluids circulation

2. Regulate and balance nervous system

3. Strengthen cells and body fluids immune system

4. Regulate internal secretions (hormones, enzymes etc)

Difference Between Bio-Spectrum Lamps and Regular Heat Lamps

Normal human body temperature is 98.6 �C most of our body heat is typically radiated away as Bio-Spectrum at the 8 ~ 20 �m wavelength. But the whole spectrum has much more wide range. So, if we generate 8 ~ 20 �m bio-spectrum and direct it at a human body, it matches the radiant energy leaving the body and as much as 99 percent is absorbed below the surface of the skin. Through this principle of using complementary rays, the absorption of radiant energy stimulates the flow of blood throughout your whole body and energizes your metabolism. Operating the Device

The Bio-spectrum treatment device is designed in to be very simple to use. By referring to the operating guide to find what part of the body needs to be exposed under the Bio-spectrum lamp according to different ailments

1. The device is turned �ON� for about 3 minutes to heat up the mineral plates before it is positioned about 5 to 10 inches from the area that needed treatment. There are 3 switches:

   1. '0' to turn OFF

   2. '-' for weak radiation

   3. '==' for strong radiation

2. Each treatment should be about 20 to 30 minutes, depends on the condition of the patient.

3. The device is positioned so the heat generated by the mineral plates can emit directly to the part of the body. There are positions that need to be followed as provided by the manufacturer.

4. When the treatment is over, the switch is then turn to �o� to turn off the device.

5. The device will automatically switch off if the mineral plates happen to be overheated (70�C ).

(This machine is designed in advanced technology such that it can continuously work for 10,000 hours without maintenance. What is needed is to keep it in a clean place and dust off the head. There are no plate to change and no maintenance for 10,000 hours.)

EVIDENCE OF SCIENCTIFIC PRINCIPLES

Bio-spectrum

Bio-spectrum is a concept, which represents the broad energy spectrum that any living organism emits. Different living things have different Bio-spectrums, different people have different bio-spectrums. Even the same person has different bio-spectrum according to their age and health status. The Kirilian camera can visualize this energy by different colors and brightness. Aura system interprets and visualizes this bio-spectrum energy in different ways. A human being is a natural radiator of a broad and complex electromagnetic wave which, while falling mainly in the infrared range, also has short wave components, long wave components and even a very small amount of microwave range.

The Principle

Biological Effects

In the case of radiation of the microwave, RF, and lower frequency range of the electromagnetic spectrum, absorption does not occur as a result of single-electron interactions, but rather as energy exchange between the applied field and distributions of molecular charge, the immediate result of which is molecular reorientation (polarization) or induced charge transport by charged species such as cations and anions (conductivity). Ultimately, the absorbed energy will be degraded to randomized kinetic energy or heat.

Radio-frequency radiation (RFR), defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) as extending from 3KHz to 300 GHz, is absorbed by biologic systems, which are water-dominated dielectrics richly endowed with electrolytes and intricately packaged polar and non-polar molecules. At sufficiently high FR intensities, thermal energy is generated that can quickly produce morbidity and, after thermoregulatory mechanisms are overwhelmed, mortality. In recent years, work has focused on possible effect at �non-thermal� levels or under conditions in which physiologic temperature can be maintained by regulatory mechanisms of living systems.

Bio-spectrum Experiments

Experiments have been carried out to testify the effectiveness of the concept Bio-spectrum. Below is one of the examples.

Initial experiments in China first used the common earthworm in documenting the TDP (Bio-spectrum) device's healing and reproduction potential. There were three groups: the TDP treated group, one control group with the same heating element as TDP, but with no mineral plate, and the other control group with only sunlight. In each group there were 58 earthworms. (Note: If an earthworm is disjoined at the 29th ring, the reproductive organ is damaged.) The earthworms in all three groups were all disjoined at the 29th ring, washed in saline solution, and placed in a sandbox. At the end of the one month testing period, the group treated with TDP yielded 67 worms, whereas the groups with the heating element and with sunshine each disclosed only 54 worms. In this experiment, the earthworms treated with TDP had at least 9 end halves that reproduced heads, whereas none of the untreated end halves reproduced heads. After returning the worms to their sandboxes and waiting another two months, 134 baby worms were found in the TDP treated box, while only 50 baby worms were in each of the other two boxes, signifying MF bio-spectrum remarkable reproduction ability of a 2:1 ratio as compared to the other group-. The also proved that heat alone has no effect on reproduction. The remarkable results of this early testing gave scientists encouraging as well as conclusive evidence that TDP involved a molecular level of biology, such as nucleotide, DNA, RNA, amino acid, peptide, protein and enzymes.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS TO THE USER

Burns

Burns are the most common complications of wrong application of Bio-spectrum device. Often, they occur in irregular or bony parts and especially if the device is placed too close to the body. Over exposure to the Bio-spectrum rays can also lead to skin pigmentation, mottling, and red and white patches. Furthermore, some people may find dry heat irritating and agitating. The presence of any of the above complications necessitates discontinuance of Bio-spectrum therapy or seek for doctor�s consultation.

The Bio-Spectrum radiation dries the skin more than any other superficial heating modality. Hence, in treatments involving the face and head, the eyes must be covered with gauze, cotton or goggles while the hair should be covered with a material, such as white sheets, that can reflect the Bio-spectrum rays. To prevent burns in the body part being treated, the part must be free of creams, ointments, jellies and the like. Also, during treatment, perspiration, if it occurs, must be wiped. Likewise, jewelry must be removed from the part being treated.

Electrical Shock

This might occur as a result of touching some exposed part of the circuit, or if the live wire of the supply came in contact with the casing of the device, which was not earthed, any person touching the casing while connected to earth would receive an earth shock.

Injury To Eyes

It has been suggested that exposure to Bio-spectrum rays which consist of Infra-red rays may predispose to cataract, and it is wise to protect the eyes from irradiation.

RECOMMENDATION OF USE

As heat is a physical agent that has proven benefits in the treatment of numerous medical conditions, that is why various gadgets, instruments and equipment have been developed to warm or heat different areas of the human body. These gadgets, instruments and equipment are categorized into superficial or deep heat modalities. The Bio-spectrum treatment device has definite, albeit limited beneficial effects. Superficial heating can hasten the healing of a local injury. Raising the temperature of an area of the body increases the blood flow to that area and enhances local metabolism. Consequently, delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues is enhanced, and the clearing of toxic substances is hastened. Likewise, the area becomes very accessible to the body�s immune defenses. However, application of heat is not recommended during the first 24-36 hours after an injury because it can aggravate local edema and hematoma formation, but it can be done subsequently to aid in resolving the hematoma and edema that has formed.

Despite the fact Bio-spectrum radiation and other superficial heating modalities can heat only the skin and subcutaneous tissue, they are nevertheless very useful adjuncts in the treatment of conditions that affect muscles and ligaments. Because local superficial heating soothes aches and pains and relaxes the person, it is routinely employed in physical therapy before other treatment modalities such as deep heating, active exercise, stretching or range of motion exercises for joints, electrical stimulation, traction or massage are applied.

Both healthy people and those with medical problems can safely use the device for their health sake. However, the result varies from different individuals. Furthermore, sign of health improvements are subjective to each person in terms of time length and its significance. Time and patience are needed for normal people to appreciate the device in improving their body system gradually. The device does not posses negative biological effect on human being.

As a whole, the Zhoulin Bio-spectrum treatment device is good in the sense that it can relief pain and help to build up the body�s immune system to help to recover from pain and other disorders. However, this device needs much attention by the user so that it will not cause serious hazards when it is used, especially when it is over-heated that causes burn to the body tissue. This device is safe to use, as it is compliance to the electrical safety standards stated as Class I, Type B.
