The intent and purpose of this website is to create a page that would give the customer an opportunity to build his computer from scratch to match the working environment of that machine, whether that be for leisurely web browsing, work, or gaming. I designed the site to start from step 1 which is picking the tower to (my intentions) matching up with a motherboard that fits that’s model and so forth. I designed this website to attract people of all ages, and to come off as a state of the art type establishment. When deciding what colors to use for my uncle’s website, I applied our organizations mission statement that we are trustworthy, professional and knowledgeable about the products sold under our roof. There are colors that resemble certain moods within our audience. The color grey will be our primary color of choice (background) as that displays logic and enthusiasm that will be bordered by the secondary color of solid red. Red signifies power and professionalism that just so happens go blend well with the color grey. Together these colors stick out among the rest and will help our website attract eyes across the world. The colors chosen also work well with font-color of #FFFFFF, that will be easy to see as well as font-size being the right size for our customers. I’ll also be utilizing 3 different fonts such as Lobster, Arial, and Gloria Hallelujah to kill a plain boring look, and add some neat styles to mix it up a bit.
The navigation bar has been simplified and making it very user-savvy to all. All page’s link back to the home page where you can reroute to your intended wants and needs. There isn’t too much to confuse the mind as the user has multiple options on how to search for any product they want to buy.
Like all sites in the making, the work is never complete. Branching off more sections to the page, and adding social media to our company will help spread the word about our business. This would come with more time, but unfortunately this is where I ended off and I look forward to developing more CSS styles and html code to find the perfect fit to what we are seeking. Each week I’ll be concentrating on other areas such as tables, with links to purchase in the cells that will lead them to a direct check out. Also, developing a company logo and selling our own brands will be a huge milestone down the road.
