FIELD DAY
Field Day is an Amateur Radio activity in June to practice emergency communications in the field
1. Eligibility: Field Day is open to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries within IARU Region 2. DX stations residing in other regions may be contacted for credit, but are not eligible to submit entries.
2. Object: To work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and in doing so to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. A premium is placed on developing skills to meet the challenges of emergency preparedness as well as to acquaint the general public with the capabilities of Amateur Radio.
3. Date and Time Period: Field Day is always the fourth full weekend of June, beginning at 1800 UTC Saturday and ending at 2100 UTC Sunday. Field Day 2005 will be held June 25-26, 2005.

this past year I participated in field day with the ZION BENTON AMATEUR RADIO CLUB in Zion,IL we operated at the zion ESDA center wich is the Zion E.O.C. we operated under the call sign N9IM and we operated as a 3F sstaion the 3F designator means we had  three operating stations and the f indicates we were an E.O.C. station you can get more info anout the ZION BENTON AMATEUR RADIO CLUB AT WWW.ZBARC.ORG there are also more field day photos there including 2003 field day  photos the photos  here are from the 2005 field day
