It's all up to you. Ask yourself what kind of page you want. Do you want to sell something? Is it a personal page? If your selling goods on your page try and get a catchy logo and make it something people want to look at (not an easy thing). Personal pages are easy because there is not really a great need for a lot of visitors. I like to see how many people visit my page anyway. A scanner or digital camera is great for making web pages. But do not overload your site. Long load times mean lost visitors.
There are ways to make your page interactive. Forms are advanced but a good option. A guest book could be nice too. A small investment in a scanner could pay off big. Do not worry about rushing your page to publication. It's much easier to edit it on your computer than on the server.
Tables and frames are options also. Tables can have as many rows and columns as you like. They can also have a caption and footer. Lists can have bullets and be ordered and unordered.
When you use the IMG tag its a good idea to create a separate directory on the server and name it graphics. Just remember to point your IMG link to the graphics folder with a /. An example of this is <IMG SRC="graphics/Rainbolg.gif">.
