Kaz is Japanese...was born and raised in Japan, now living in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. I have spent nearly 10 years living outside Japan. I spent 1 1/2 years in New Zealand, working for a resort hotel after having graduated from college in Japan. Then I earned my university degree (B.A.) from the University of Alberta. Now I am researching in graduate school at the U of Alberta. Oh, by the way, here is Sushi Restaurant Guide for Edmontonians!
WHAT DO I STUDY? Hmm, I studied Sociology and Political Science as undergrad. I am interested in Pacific Rim relations and security issues in East Asia. I am writing my thesis on Japan's foreign/defence policy patterns based on Japan's three territorial disputes. As you might know, Japan does not have military forces but the Self Defence Forces (SDF). This sounds a bit funny and ironic when Japan's defence budget is one of the highest in the world. Well, let's not talk about politics here. Anyway, this is my area of interest! And that is why I gathered links to International Politics and current affairs in my homepage.
