Kannaduki no Miko inspired me to watch this, but it still left one of those lingering feelings after watching it.
Plotline - Hatsuki and Hatsumi lived together peacefully, day by day. Hatsumi has always been mute, or it seemed that way until her 16th birthday. Mysteriously, Hatsumi vanished right in front of Hatsuki's eyes in a flash of green light. Soon after, a flying bird thingy appeared in front of Hatsuki. Demanding that the bird take her to where Hatsumi is, he whirled her back to the "Great Library".
There, Hatsuki meets Ririsu, the witch like girl with an eyeball hat. Ririsu explains that Hatsumi is really Eve, and that she has dissappeared to another world. Refusing to believe the truth, Hatsuki travels with Ririsu to many different worlds, hoping to see Hatsumi again.

Talk about a confusing anime series. I was really confused for the first few episodes on what the freak was going on, but then it started making sense. Although there still questions that are left unanswered, I'm sure they are in the game. Anyway, I started watching this series with the thought that it was going to be somewhat like Kannaduki no Miko. I was expecting more focus on the relationships, but I think they showed more of the plot than character personalities. Although this is not a bad thing, I have to say that this anime series isn't as good as I expected it to be in it's current state.
This may seem like I'm saying it's bad, but it's really not all that bad. There just wasn't any breathtaking scenes. Maybe it's because my expectations are too high, but I'm positive that they could have done better. As usual, guess I'll have to play the game sometime in the future for more character development. Basically the series is split into about 4-6 arc-plots that the main character's are a part of. Then it concludes when Hatsuki finds Hatsumi (Eve), and after some scenes the credits roll by. I don't know what exactly bugged me, but maybe you should watch it for yourself. If I didn't mention this already, this series is in the Shoujo-ai genre. The OP is pretty awesome though, when it's not compressed into 150 KB.
My Score: 8.2 / 10
