Thoughts of the Day

Here's where I'll list down my thoughts of the day!

I also archived some of the old crap, and you can find that link near the bottom of this page.

I recently got my PC back, since I had to send it to the shop due to the overheating problem. They did end up doing something this time, unlike the last two times I sent it there. My HD got replaced with a better one, and they also replaced the power supply fan. But! The only thing that they did not do, is back up my data like they promised. This sucked REALLY bad, since I had a lot of crap I planned on burning but never got around to it. Though, the good thing is... I'm over that now and recovered most of what I lost.

GunZ is like the new game to play now. It's addicting, fast paced, and it sort of reminds you of Gunbound. Not in the gameplay aspect though. In terms of gameplay, it plays like Unreal Tournament mixed with Max Payne. People like me will find GunZ to be freaking addicting. The only downside is that the servers lag sometimes, and it'll disconnect you. But! I haven't had any horrid experience with bad lag all that much just yet, so it's all good. Too bad my competitive friend isn't here. Here's a picture that I found on one of my CD's.

I also finished Fushigi Yuugi recently. Definitly one of the best shoujo series that I've seen, right next to CCS. The ending also ranks high up there, with Full Moon o Sagashite.

Finals are just up ahead, and I'll be officially done with the first year of college and moving onto summer vacation after Wednesday. Can't wait to kick back and enjoy the things I never had time for.

I've been into Doujin games lately. Things I never knew existed, suddenly became the most awesome things in the world. Words cannot describe how funny it is to kick Haruka (KGNE) in the face with Akane, while trying to avoid swarms of animals, plants, and chefs with baseball bats. There's also a Super Smash Bro. Doujin clone, featuring the characters of Tsukihime and Ragnarok Online. Not really anything that exciting, but Tsukihime + Super Smash Bros = Must play at least once in my life.

One of the most exciting doujin games would have to be Fate Sword Dance though. Not only is it a Fate Stay Night fighting game, it actually has short intro clips and such, and it's just freaking awesome because Fate Stay Night makes you think that it SHOULD be a fighting game. Sadly, the gameplay is not indepth and it's only subpar. But who cares? As long as I can kill Archer with Saber, I'm happy.

I also finished Ys I the other day. Never knew this game existed... but the remake for the PC version is one of the finest old games I've played for a long time. The nostolgic feeling of playing old school games is uncomparable to no other feeling. It was short, simple, at times annoying, but it was a good game. Too bad I lack Japanese vocabulary (soon to change!) to understand Ys II just yet. I also downloaded Guilty Gears XX Reload, which is another famous fighting game, and that's pretty awesome as well.

As for Anime, I finished Kare Kano about last week. FLCL fans would probably like it more than I did. It was about the weirdest anime I've seen this year, but in a good way. Now I'm starting on Yumeria, which seems to be nothing but comedy and fluff. I also still have to finish Inuyasha sometime... and my 150 volumes of unread manga. That'll take like what, 2-3 months?

So I saw Star Wars:Episode III the other day, and it was a pretty decent movie (Considering all the other crappy ones I've seen). I still think that it was a weird and maybe slightly bad idea to have the last half of the Star Wars series made first before the first half. Anyway, I would put the whole series second on my "Awesome Movies" list, right below Kill Bill: Volume One!

Speaking of awesome, the Dungeon Siege II Beta released today. Of course, being a big fan of Dungeon Siege I, I had to try it out. My biggest concern was whether or not I could actually run it, since my computer is crappy. 5 minutes into the game, and I think I could play it fine. Although slightly laggy and sometimes a bit annoying when you can't run away or heal when lagging, it's playable.

As for the gameplay, they kept most of the aspects from DS1 and added some other stuffs. The game is pretty addicting, and I managed to finish the "beta" part in 2-3 hours. I'm so going to get it when it comes out. They also managed to fix the useless spells in the game, and made it so you can benefit more for specing in just one area, rather than being good in one area and average in all the other ones. Another thing they added was a similar skill system to Diablo II, sort of.

It's been a while since I've updated, so I'll write something new here. Let's see... I haven't been watching a lot of anime recently, but rather been catching up on some series that I stopped watching midway. I have been playing a lot of games and reading manga though. I have about 25 gigs worth of manga, and they took a freakload of time to read.

As for games, I'm still playing Demise, and the furthest floor I can hunt at is probably level 10 or so. There's what, 30-32 floors in the game? It gets pretty impossible on floor 11 solo, so it might be a while still. I've also downloaded a bunch of old games, such as Fallout and Thief. Not really anything interesting though. I also redownloaded a game called "Savage: Battle for Newerth" or something like that. I was in the beta, and apparently it's pretty easy to get still. Pretty fun game though. It's a lot like Natural Selection mixed with Warcraft 3. I was called a "hacker" again, on my second day of playing. Apparently if you can kill 3 people at once with a gun, you're "hacking".

Speaking of which, did I mention that I've really been into anime type games recently? The shooter series based off of Touho is pretty awesome. Imperishable Nights has to be one of the most intense shooters I've ever played. I love the difficulty, and the music is pretty awesome. I wish I had some way of getting it in wav, midi, or mp3 format...

I'm also running really low on room, and I have nothing to burn. Well, that doesn't make any sense.. I mean, I have things to burn, but it's all random stuff that isn't complete. I'll probably end up with like 2 gigs of free space, and have to wait until some things get finished.

And another person has signed my guestbook. First person ever to do so, with constructive criticism!
