Kadim Al-Sahir - Live in Genting

Arabic heartthrob Kadim Al Sahir will be performing live in Malaysia at the Arena Of Stars, Genting - City of Entertainment on July 10th 2003, 8.00 pm.

This unassuming singer is one of the male superstars in the Arab world and has sold over 31 million albums to-date, his hit love song Ana Wa Laila (Me and Laila) was voted the 6th most popular song in the world in a worldwide BBC listener’s poll last year, which was two places above Cher’s Believe!

Besides being popular within the Middle Eastern society, Kadim is also well known to those in the Western music industry, he recorded a duet with Sarah Brightman in her latest album Harem (released May 2003) for The War Is Over song. Brightman said that she asked Kadim to do the song with her because she knew of his excellent voice.

Lenny Kravitz sang We Want Peace with Kadim as an urgent call to America to be a peaceful leader in the world. The song is available exclusively at Rock The Vote’s website.

Kadim who is able to converse in English after hiring a tutor two years ago, says that his music is about love, about the Earth, about the stars, about light. My music tells a story - like watching a movie - I try to create mental pictures with my music, he added.
