Appearance: Like many other characters, the top of Serizawa is shaved while the remaining hair is pulled back into a bun. He has a round face and a stout build to match. Serizawa is drunk half of the time he appears in the manga, so his cheeks are often coloured red.

Personality: Serizawa can be quite stubborn, rash, and well... Serizawa-ish. Such qualities generally irritate a good number of the Shinsengumi, like Hijikata. However, there are some good qualities to Serizawa, too. His firey nature also allows for determination and a great love for the people around him. If you can see beyond the irritating points, Serizawa is a very interesting person.
