The author of Kaze Hikaru is Watanabe Taeko. Although I can't find much on Watanabe-san, she does seem like an interesting person from her short strips at the end. I can definately identify with some of the things she encounters. ^_^ Piles of books, deadlines, and even things that make you want to just sparkle with happiness~! ^^ I have been able to find a list of her other manga series, though.
