Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches

          Ingrediants;  32 Graham cracker squares  1 tub Creamy frosting in a can
                              2 Tablespoons milk              1 1/2 cups chilled whip cream
                                                1 Tablespoon cornstarch

*Line a 13 x 9 x 2 pan  with aluminum foil

1. Arrange 1/2 of crackers on foil, cutting 6 of them to cover bottom of pan.
2. Mix milk, cornstarchfrosting and whipped cream together. Beat on med. 2 minutes
while scraping bowl occasionally. Then beat 3 min. on high.
3. Spread mixture onto crackers in pan and put the cracker tops on top of that.
4. Cover & freeze for 8 hours. Cut or break into squares about 2 1/2".
 

No work version!

Just spread semi-melted vanilla ice cream between two graham crackers and freeze!
When semi-frozen they can be broken into sections and wrapped in foil for refreezing.
Oreo cookies work well also, with the cream center removed or frozen as is!
 


 

Homemade Ice Cream
(without any machine!)




          Ingrediants; 1/2 cup cold milk   1 tablespoon vanilla extract
                              1/8 teaspoon salt   2 cups heavy whipping cream
                              1 can(14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)

1. Stir milk, vanilla, condensed milk and salt in a medium sized bowl.
2. Beat heavy cream in a large bowl with electric mixer until stiff peaks form when beaters lifted.
3. Gently fold in milk mixture and pour into shallow 1 1/2 quart metal bowl or pan.
4. Cover & freeze at least 4 hours stirring once after 2 hrs..
Serve or spoon into airtight container & freeze. Keeps up to 1 week.
***variations***
 Strawberry ice cream- Omit the 1/2 c. milk & vanilla.
instead add 4 cups mashed strawberries & 2 Tablespoons light corn syrup.
Crushed cookie ice cream- Prepare as directed but just before freezing, fold in
2 cups coarsely crushed chocolate sandwich cookies. Makes 7 c.'s  ice cream.
Chocolate Chip Ice Cream- Prepare as directed but just before freezing, fold in 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate mini-chips. They'll stick to bottom but redistribute when you stir it after 2 hrs. Makes 6 1/2 cups ice cream.

Chocolate Frozen Banana's

                 Ingrediants;  4 medium size bananas     8 popsicle sticks
                                1 bottle chocolate magic shell (the stuff that sets solid on top of ice cream)

    waxed paper

                   1. Cut banana's in half width ways and place a popsicle stick in each half.
                   2. Freeze banana's for 4-6 hours.
                   3. Lay out some waxed paper out & pour chocolate magic shell in a deep cup
                       at least 3-4 inches depth.
               4. Dip frozen banana pops in chocolate shell mix and hold each until drips stop.
                   5. Place on wax paper and repeat for all 8 pops.
                   6. Refreeze for 30 min-1hour and enjoy!


 

Simple Nutricious popsicles

                 Ingrediants;   any kind of juice but Juicey Juice works great!
                                      1 ice cube tray    12 popsicle sticks

Pour juice in each section of ice cube tray.
Freeze till thick enough to hold up a pop stick.
Put all the sticks in center of cube sections.
Freeze until completely solid.
 
 


 

Fruit Ice

ingredients;   Finely crushed or shaved ice     thawed, concentrated frozen fruit juice

1. Place ice in a cup and pour juice over it. Drink or eat as a snow cone with a spoon.
 

Homemade Fresh Fruit Sherbert

Ingredients; 1 1/4 fresh fruit  1 cup sugar  2 egg whites, beaten stiff

1. Cut fruit into small pieces.
2. Mix fruit and sugar well and fold in egg whites.
3. Put in a freezer tray and freeze 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
4. Cover with waxed paper until ready to serve.

Good Ice Cream for toddlers

ingredients; 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk   1 1/2 Tablespoons cocoa   1/2 cup reg. milk

Combine all ingredients and freeze for 3 hours in a freezer container.
 

Yogurt Pops

ingredients; 1 container of plain yogurt     favorite fruit juice

1. Mix some juice into the yogurt and pour into popsicle molds or ice cube tray (place a spoon
or popsicle stick into this after it has started to set).
