We now have the official list of which mares are in foal and to who.

All the below mares have been confirmed in foal to the listed stallion by our Vet
.

Gypsey Flare - In foal to Tristram El Nirvana - Due in August 2004 - Foal will not be for sale.

Henley Farm Barrani - In foal to Indian Sun - Due in October 2004 - Foal maybe for sale if the right home and price  is offered.

Blanford Queen - In foal to Indian Sun - Due end of October, begining of November -
FOAL SOLD

Roxy - Was confirmed 26 days in foal on the 7/02/2004, to Indian Sun.  She is an outside mare and will produce a lovely Arabian Warmblood foal for Kelly Anscombe of Keldon Park Performance Horses.  She will be home with Kelly in two weeks.

The below listed mares are waiting to be served.

Vathek Rupara - To be served to Tristram El Nirvana, once she is home.  She should be home on the 21/02/2004.  Foal will be for sale to the right home.  If you are interested please contact me.  Foal will be a great Endurance prospect as both parents have great Endurance pedigrees that have been proven.   All of Rupara's previous foals have made great riding horse's. Current filly foal can be viewed (not for sale).

I am happy with the way our breeding season has been going and we now just have the long wait for all the foals to arrive.

On a building news front, my long awaited round yard is near on completion.  The boys from Sydney (stepfather Rob and his mate Keith and my husband), have spent two weekends on it now and should only need one more weekend to complete it.  They work very hard on it and get feed like Kings for two days and the beer flows once nock off time has arrived.   It is hard to recognise them as by the end of the day they are as black as this background of this page.   I make a really good foreman. :-)   Should be completed in around two weeks.  We are slowly getting our facilities completed.  We have most of our paddocks completed, two stables in the foal paddocks that just need to be rubber lined and our roundyard near completion.  Another goal is to have a small stable block built up near the house for the working horses and any horse that may need stabling due to illness.  They tell me though that "good things come to those that wait patiently".  :-)

  SHEENA

I have now updated the foal page and you can now find photo's and a little bit about our new weanling filly Razorback Silver Sheena.  We now have her home.  She has learnt since we purchased her, how to lead, tie up, float and general handling.  Thanks goes to Kelly from Keldon Park Performance Horses for looking after her and teaching her the basics.

Rupara is still with Kelly but should also be home in a couple of weeks.

DOLLY

I also welcome back to the Stud, Dolly.  Dolly is a quarter horse type mare that I owned up until July last year.  I sold her to Kellie from Narellan.  Kellie loved Dolly and they where doing well at sporting type events at their agistment property. But unfortunately Dolly had an accident and snapped her hamstring.  Dolly can not be ridden now and Kellie could not afford to pay agistment for Dolly plus another riding horse.  I was more then happy to take her back and give her, her final retirement home.  She will now act as the studs nanny and depending on how her leg goes she may even have her own foal in the future.  She loves foals and has such a great temperment that her foal would be lovely.

January 2004

I am now also the proud owner of a New Purebred mare and foal.  The mares name is Vathek Rupara by Mexi (Imp Denmark) x Masafi Rimah.  She is 50% Crabbet and 50% Polish.  The filly Foal's name is Razorback Silver Sheena (pending). She is by Compadre x Vathek Rupara.  We purchased them from Katelyn Walker of Razorback Endurance Stud.  We purchased the filly as a future Endurance prospect and Rupara as a broodmare.  She will be put back in foal to one of our stallions this season.  They are currently staying with Kelly from Keldon Park Performance Horses for around four weeks until they join the rest of the herd in the Hunter Valley.  Please check back in a week or to on the mare and foal pages for photo's.

Please check back very soon for more updates.

6 March 2004

I have some sad news to report this month.  On the 24/03/2004 we had to have Vathek Rupara put down.  She had a bad case of colic that could not be treated.  It was a very sad day.  I only owned Rupara for around two months but she will still be missed.  In the time I owned her she proved to be a very nice natured mare.

I still have Rupara's 2003 Filly foal, Razorback Silver Sheena, she is doing well.  She is very friendly and has learnt basic skills such as leading, tying up, grooming, she is easy to catch and she is now in the process off learning about how to wear a rug.  She is a fast learner and will hopefully make a great Endurance mount for me as well as carrying on her mothers pedigree.  Justin and Sheena currently share a paddock and get on really well.  It is really funny to see them both making baby faces at each other.  Mind you Justin is now 18 months old but still uses his baby face defences.  :-)

My Endurance season has not yet kicked off.  I have just found it hard to get the time to train as well as a weekend free to do a ride.  Hopefully I will have Belle ready for a ride very soon and we can be out on the trails again.  I am also hoping to find the time to bring Minnie into work and have her out on the trails as well.  MMM sounds easier than it really is. :-)

Dolly has settled back in well .  She will soon be going to join the Muswellbrook Riding for the Disabled team.  She has finished her Nanny duties for the year here and needed another job to keep her occupied so she will be going to the RDA to help out until about October.

That is really all the news I have for this month.  Been a fairly quite month for the stud as I am just coming out of breeding season and hopefully back into the Endurance Season.
                                                                          3 April 2004

The month of March was very uneventful.  Have yet to start the Endurance season.  I have been working two of my mares everyday but it will probably be another month before I can get to a ride, unfortunately.

I dropped Dolly out to the RDA today.  She settled into her new paddock and new paddock buddies like she has been there forever.  She will start her new duties at the end of this month.  She will hopefully make alot of kids happy.  She will also be put in foal to Indian Sun in September and then continue her duties at the RDA till the end of the year.  She will then spend the Summer back here and return to the RDA again next March until the foal is due.  She will be a busy girl for the next 18 months or so.  The RDA only ride the horses once a week so she still gets quite a bit of leisure time. :-)

Sheena is growing fast.  She is nearly as tall as Justin.  She is turning into a real sook just like her older brother Justin (not blood related).

Anyway the plans for this month are to train Belle and Minnie for Endurance and hopefully have at least one of them complete an Endurance ride this month.  So check back soon and hopefully I will have some more exsiting news to report.

27 May 2004

The Endurance Season is now well under way.  Belle and myself have now successfully completed two 80 km Endurance rides.  We completed Bendemeer on the 9 May and Mudgee on the 23rd May.  Belle completed both these rides with ease.  She have now completed five 80 km Endurance rides with no vet outs.  She is now well on her way to becoming a seasoned Endurance horse.  Our next planned ride is St Albans on the 20th June 2004.

Flare's six year old daughter, Sherry, by Mindari Illusion is currently successfully competing in Endurance.  She recently completed the 80km ride at Mudgee.  She is owned by Raelene French.

                          04 May 2004

Finally our Endurance year has started.  Belle completed her first 40km ride for the year at Stoud on the 2 May 2004.  The ride was great but challenging.  There was alot of hill work and was rocky under foot in places.  She completed the ride with straight A's and a very good trot out.

The ride itself was very well organised, with great facility's and a perfectly marked track.  Thankyou to the Hunter Valley Arabians for organising a great ride.   Hopefully there will be an 80km at Stroud next.

I also took Kim Corliss and her horse Cindy along with me for her first ever Endurance Training ride.  She was very nerves before the ride but was very happy and over the moon after the ride when her horse Cindy  and Kim successfully completed their  first trainer.  Stroud was a great ride to introduce Kim to the sport and she will def be coming back for more Endurance riding.

Our next ride will hopefully be Bendemeer 80km ride this weekend (09/05/04) and maybe Kim might even come along again.

        23 April 2004

I have sad news again this month.  On the 16 April 2004 I had to have my Stallion, Tristram El Nirvana put down with Colic.  Yes that dreaded colic thing agian.  He was the young age of 27 years (rising 28 years).  He was a lovely boy who loved life and was as gentle as a lamb.  He will be greatly missed.  I am now crossing all my fingers and toes that Gypsy Flare has a healthy foal to him.  She is due in August so there will be updates in August when she has foaled.

On the building front I finally have a fully functional round yard.  So it will be full steam ahead with the young ones and also Minnie.  Our next plan is to line two stables we have in the foal paddock with rubber and then hopefully have some stables built in the top paddocks.  Slowly but surely things will be completed. :-)

Belle and I took part in the Sandy Hollow Charity ride last weekend.  It was a 25 km Charity ride to raise money for the Westpac Helicopter.  It was a great ride and a great social event.  There where 200 riders who took part in the annual ride.  If anyone would like any detials of the ride for next year please feel free to contact me and I will give you some detials.   Belle did the ride with ease and is now ready to complete an Endurance training ride.  I am planning on taking her to the Hunter Valley Training ride at Stroud next weekend, then hopefully the Bendemeer ride the weekend after.  So hopefully from there our Endurance season will be full steam ahead. :-)

Other then the above news I am just waiting eagerly for the foals to arrive.  :-)

Breeding Season is now well under way.   My first outside mare arrived last Friday.  Her name is Spirit and she is a grey Appy mare.  Her last year foal was a very nice grey Appaloosa x Arabian Filly.  She has already been served and hopefully will tested positive, in foal in around 16 days.  I am expecting another outside mare in a couple of weeks.  She is a pure bred Arabian.

Please do not hesitate to contact me in regards to a service to my wanderful stallion, Indian Sun.  I am offering discounted fees this year so please contact me for the costs.

I have started breaking Ebony 'N' Ivory.  She is currently doing well.  She has progressed to being stabled at night and has settled down nicely.  Hopefully Ebony will start her saddle career in no time.  She is a gorgeous jet black Australian Riding pony who should do well in the show ring.

                             28 August 2004

This month has been a quiet month.  Belle successfully completed another 80km at Yengo on the 14/08/04.  This putting her ride total to eight, 80km rides with out vet outs.  A job well done on her part.  Her next planned ride will be the new Sandy Hollow, 80km ride in October.  This will be a home ride and is only about a 40 minute drive, a big change to a couple of hours. :-)  The ride will be held at the same ride base as the Sandy Hollow Charity ride.  So hopefully this will be a home advantage to us as we have now completed the Sandy Hollow Charity ride 3 years in a row and have a bit of an idea of the trails around the area.  Will see how we go. :-)

I am still eagerly awaiting my first foal for the season.  Rani is due at the end of October.  She is doing well and looking great.

  22 JULY 2004

Well it has been a while between up dates but I have been so busy I have not had alot of time to update the site.  Since last month I have had good news and bad news.  I will start with the good news.

Belle has now Successfully completed seven, 80km Endurance rides with no vet outs.  Since Mudgee she has successfully completed both St Albans, 80km ride and just recently the Manilla Westpac Helicopter 80km ride.  Both rides she did with ease and she also managed to shave a hour of her best time at Manilla, completing it in 6 hours 45 min.  That is her best time yet and I am guessing she will only get better.  I am noting rushing her though, I am letting her decide when she is ready to better her times.  I am very pleased with her.  Her next planned ride is Yengo 80km ride on the 8 August.

My sad news is that Flare lost her foal last week.  This is very upseting as I was looking forward to this foal and it was the only foal I had due to my old boy Nirvana.  This now mean two things.  1.  Nirvana's bloodlines are now lost to me forever and 2. I will no have any foals for sale in 2005 as I will now be retaining Rani's foal.  On a good note though Flare is doing well and I will be rebreeding her again this season.  Check back in a month or so on who she will be served to.

The rest of the crew are doing well despite the drought and the lack of nice grass.  They are all managing to keep fat and happy.  All the horses are on hay, hard feed as well as multi vitamins and a lick block.  Very expensive process but all worth it. :-)

I do at present have one horse for sale to a good home.  For further details please check my for sale page.

Also make sure you check back in October for updates and pictures of Rani's foal.
:-)

6 JUNE 2004

This month has started off on a good note.  Belle's endurance training and season is coming along nicely and her next ride will hopefully be at St Albans on the 20 June.  Minnie's training has finally started.  Unfortunantely due to Minnie having 12 months off from being ridden I have to start from scratch with alot of ground work.  She was green broken when I got her so I will have to start from the ground and work her up again.  But hopefully her training will come along nicely and she will get to a ride before the end of the year.

On another note we also welcome to the stud a newcomer,  her name is Jewel.  She is an eight year old part arabian, grey, mare.  She is currently staying with Kel from Keldon Park Performance Horses but will be home with me next weekend.   Jewel will also hopefully join the Endurance team but before she can she will also need some ground work before she starts her Endurance training.  Check back for updates on her soon.

                                 17 October 2004

Well my foaling season has come to a bad end.  With only a week and three days to go before foaling, Rani, sadly lost her foal.  Her filly foal was still born at 4.30am, Thursday, 14 October.  My vet advised me that the umbilical cord had broken while the foal was still inside, hence the foal died before foaling.  Was a very sad day.  I will now have to wait another 12 months for a foal to arrive.  Rani is doing well.  She will be put back into foal to Indian Sun.

Belle's Endurance season ended on a high.  She succsessfully completed her 9th, 80km Endurance ride at Sandy Hollow at the beginning of October.  Her heart rates where the lowest she had ever had and she completed the ride with all A's bar one B for gut sounds on the last leg.  I am very happy with her.  She will now have a well earned break before next season.

I also welcome to the stud, Sandy.  Sandy is a really nice Dunn pony mare that I am schooling and selling for a client.  If you want to find out more about her please visit my
For Sale page.  I also have a part bred mare for sale with a free service to Indian Sun.

Please check back soon to see how our breeding season is going.  I will soon list the mares that Indian Sun has in foal.  Good luck everyone with their foaling and breeding season. :-)
                                                                     4 August 2005

Ok it has been five months between updates.  I have just been soooo busy that I have not had time to site down and update the site.  Ok where do I start.

The Endurance season has been a bit slow but has been very successful.  Leechdale Prince Shazzam has now completed 3 x 40km Trainers and 1 x 80km Ride at St Albans.  He has been doing really well and passing his vet checks with flying colours.  He is looking great and seems to love his Endurance job. :-)  His next planned ride will be a Gulgong next month.  Photos will be updated on the gelding page of him very soon.

Breeding season is less then a month away and preperations are being made for incoming mares and soon to arrive foals.  I already welcome our first outside mare, Sunnie Jayde, owned by Rachel of Ramor Arabians.   She is pure arabian and 100% Crabbet.

On the building front I have finally got my own mare crush.  It is looking great and has already been tested by my vet and received his seal of approval.  :-)  This is a great addition as it means I wont have to load all the mares up and take them to my vet every time I need one tested or swapped.

I also welcome to the stud a lovely TB mare by the name of Atstro Flower.  She stands at just over 16hh making her the tallest horse at the stud.  She will either be served to the Warmblood stallion Musel Klute or to Indian Sun.  I will also welcome back in a couple of weeks my TB mare Blandford Queen.  She has been out on lease to a good friend of mine Kelly Anscombe of Keldon Park for the last 18 months.  She gave Kelly a very nice Anglo Colt by Indian Sun called Austin.  I will breed her back to Indian Sun this season to hopefully get another really nice foal like Austin.

Well other then the day to day running of the stud nothing else major has happened.  I will try to keep up to date with my updates so check back soon.

Good luck to everyone with the up and coming breeding season.

                                                                         18 March 2005

A few things have happend since my late update.

Firstly breeding season is finally out of the way for 2004/2005.  I still have one more outside mare to preg test, she will then go home in a week and that will be it for the year.

Belle successfully completed the 40km, Zone 1, trainer in Febuary and is now in training for the Careflight ride at the beginning of April.

I also welcome to the stud and Endurance Team my new gelding Leechdale Prince Shazzam.  He is a lovely boy with a great temperament.  He is now in training to complete his first 40km trainer in the near future.  Please check for updates and photos of Shazzam.

                                28 January 2005

It has been a long time between up dates, but I have been busy and lacked time to get onto the computer other then work related reasons.  Anyway a lot has happened since October.

To start with I have three of my mares back in foal.  They are as below:

Henely Farm Barrani - in foal to Indian Sun for an October 2005 foal.
Kayuga Park Minnie - in foal to Indian Sun for a November 2005 foal.
Ebony 'n' Ivory - in foal to Indian Sun for a November 2005 foal.

Indian Sun has also had a number of outside mares this year.

I also welcome a new comer to the stud.  I have recently purchased a TB mare called Meg.  She will be going to stud tomorrow morning to the registered Warmblood Stallion, Mosel Klute.  I have decided to dabble a little in Warmblood breeding.  I will upload a photo of Meg very soon.  Will also, if ok with his owner download a photo of Klute.  He is a very nice dark brown fellow with a great temparment.  He was a well known three day eventer who was short listed for the Atlanta Olympics.

I have also welcomed some agistors to the property and have decided take on a few more.  I have postions vacant in a shared paddock as well as a yard with a shelter available.  Agistment would suit spellers, mares in foal, empty mares or will excempt riding agistment with conditions.  For further details please contact me.  Great care is provided and access to a great vet and farrier is always on hand.

Breeding season is slowly coming to an end.  I currently have two outside mares to still serve plus my TB mare.  After that breeding season will be officially closed.  I can then go back to preparing Belle for the 2005 Endurance season.

I will also be welcoming a new horse to the Endurance team in about a month or so.  His name is Leechdale Prince Shazzam.  He is a part bred Gelding by Khartoum x Hammond Park Souvinier.  My plans for Shazzam is to bring him on in Endurance this year to enable Belle to go in foal to Indian Sun at the end of the year.  I am very excited about his arrival.   He will be here once all the outside mares are in foal and returned home.

Well that is all for the updates for now.  I will try and make the updates more frequent and update information and photos on the other pages.  Please be patient and check back again soon.
