The walls come crashing down, burying me. I'm sure my heart's stopped beating. I feel dizzy. Everything happens in slow motion.

I want to scream in pain. I want to fall down on my knees and cry in anguish. But I don't. It feels like hours ago that I heard the words, yet I know it's been no more than a second or two. And I make an oath.

Over my dead body.
