A girl named Rosemary loved her brother and wanted to marry him. She new that in secret, her brother liked other boys. Sometimes she caught him kissing her boyfriends. She dressed as a boy because it was the only thing left to do. In the dark, she kissed him. She kissed him everywhere until she was swallowing something from deep inside him. She went on secretly loving him, but she never got to kiss him again. Maybe he knew. She liked to think he knew. |

She had been cursed, of course. That was why she loved the man who was now trying to kill her. He had his hands around her throat and the circle they made was getting smaller and smaller until her neck stopped fitting inside. She kept thinking of that morbid fairy tale, where the girl wears a ribbon around her neck because without it her head would fall off. She felt like that girl. She needed his hands around her neck. Even as her eyes started to bug out of her head, even as his face in front of her started to turn to static, she felt safe. |

When I was in third grade, I learned that in billions of years, the Earth will get swallowed up by the sun. Learning that changed absolutely everything. I have never been the same. |

Please understand that we are evolving so as to not have pinkies anymore anyway. We are getting taller, like dinosaurs. Our faces are becoming all one face. You can see it in your own eyes already. That's why I like his eyes and his face. It has beauty like the alternating innocence and violence in the eyes of animals like tigers or wolves. That is something that can't get all watered down. |
