She was born on 11th February, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, California.When she was 16 years old when her drama teacher told her that she had a talent for comedy.But Jennifer didn't believe them but she was wrong.
When she was younger, she lived in Greece for a year.Her family then came back to New York. Her parents divorced when she was only nine years old and she stayed with her mother.
When she was twelve years old, she always dreamed of being on TV. Her resolve grew even stronger after seeing "Children of a Lesser God."
