How to Make a Child into a Delinquent

1. Begin at infancy to give your child everything he wants. In this way, he will grow up to believe that the world owes him a living.

2. When your child picks up bad language, laugh at him. This will make him think that he is cute.

3. Never give your child any spiritual training. Wait until he is 21 and then let him "decide for himself."

4. Avoid the use of the word "wrong" so your child won't develop a guilt-complex. This will condition your child to believe, later when he is arrested for stealing a car or something else, that society is against him and that he is just being persecuted.

5. Pick up everything your child leaves lying around - books, shoes, clothes. Do everything for him so that he will be experienced at throwing all responsibility on others.

6. Let your child read any printed matter he can get his hands on. Be careful that the silverware and drinking glasses are sterilized, but let your child's mind feast on garbage.

7. Quarrel frequently in the presence of your child. That way, your child won't be shocked when the home is broken up later on.

8. Give your child all the spending money he wants. Never let him earn anything on his own. After all, why should he have things as tough as you had them?

9. Satisfy every craving your child has for food, drink, or comfort. See that every sensual desire is gratified. Denial may lead to harmful frustration.

10.. Take your child's side against any adult authority, be it teachers, neighbors, or police officers. They're just prejudiced against your child.

11. When your child gets into trouble, apologize for yourself and him by saying, "I could never do anything with that child."

12. Prepare yourself for a life of grief. You're likely to have it!
