please wait for all the images to load. Soorry, i hurried too much to create a slideshow.
recently started using a new lensbaby which leads me to create very abstract images with selective focus
this is extreme. it's so new i haven't decided if i lke it!
it's about color and form like a watercolor but i have more contol with the camera
here I am looking inside the poppy, but the petals are so blured because they are closer to the camera that they've become translucent
the "S" line is timeless
i went deep into the bush to find this magical spot
closer to the outside of the bush the light is softer
aken a few weeks back before the new lens
taken the same morning when i remembered the reason for a short debth of field. the agung petals reminds us time is catching up with us.
but i can't get enough of rocks! my interpretation of yellowstone on a rainy dawn
these images were part of the footbook. the images are mono prints with acrylic medium. distress in the process.

the grown ups were winding down when the kids were riving up.

detail

the book had mostly teenagers feet as the boardwalk came alive at sunset.

this cover is another monoprint

detail

the images are printed on archival quality paper with archival inks as are all my art prints. This paper is so rich it's a pleasure to touch.

detail

the images in this book are also available as framed art.

detail

the music book did not sell as it was priced to hi for the street fair.

this book has a mono print of a sand abstract on the cover. it has 2 knobs to open it in either direction because it is an accordian book.

detail

images like this meditave sand abstract we printed dirctly on archival paper and then mounted in the book.

like the music book, the images are available framed as wall art also

two images from my nature colletion. more typical of my work until recently when I've begun to try new things.
for me rocks represent eternity and sand the infinite malibility of material things. they are contrasted with the effemeral plants. Especially flowers which unwind and then wilt before our eyes.
