Kay Kay slapped me
so hard, I was stunned Author : Dominic Ferrao |
[Short excerpt
from Tejaswini’s interview]
Filmfare.com:
Were there any other accidents or funny moments on the sets?
Tejaswini:
“Once we were shooting from seven in the evening to seven in the morning. At
the end of it we were walking around like zombies, and Anurag used to be the
only one to push us. Kay Kay had the most difficult scene. It was being shot in
sync sound and it was a three-page scene. So if anybody did it wrong we had to
do it all over again – at four in the morning. Everybody wanted to make sure
that nothing went wrong. Kay Kay had these major lines and he had to pick up
something and throw it at Joy. Kay Kay was all worked up. So he said his lines
angrily and then picked up an object and threw it at Joy. It hit Joy between
the legs and he howled loudly and rolled on the floor. I was impressed by his
'acting'. I was praising him, when he shouted that he wasn't acting, he was
really hurt. He was abusing like crazy. Kay Kay took five minutes to cool down
and then began apologizing. And all this was happening at four in the morning.
Then there was another scene where Kay Kay is supposed to slap me and he slapped
me so hard that I was stunned. I stared at him and just said my lines. And it
was so realistic that we canned the shot!”
