Shah's was a tough act but TV and stage actor Kay Kay as Harilal almost upstaged him with a stunning performance. We see him bursting with idealism in his early years in South Africa. Then comes the disillusionment as his father denies him the law education he long for. "We're vegetables in your backyard," he accuses his father. "You're a circus ring master, and you hold your whip in your tongue."
