to supplement the 1st Clock documentation. You can also look
at the Green Parrots Software Online Web site for the latest

NOTES ON PRE-RELEASE
====================

This is pre-release version of 1st Clock 2.0. The documentation was
not updated, there is only "What's new" section in the help file
containing the list of new features with description. 

If you want to keep maximum safety then perform the following steps:

1) Backup your alarms using 1st Clock 1.0. Exit from 1st Clock.

2) Install 1st Clock 2.0 (pre-release) into the separate folder.

3) Access 1st Clock 2.0 through separate menu entry in the Programs
   menu

4) If you want to load 1st Clock 2.0 on startup, then run 1st Clock 
   2.0. Open Shell page in the Options dialog, uncheck "Load on startup", 
   press OK. Open this page again and check the "Load on startup" 
   option. Press Ok again.

   The same way you may restore startup loading of 1st Clock 1.0.

5) Alarms should be shared between two version of 1st Clock. However
   all new alarm options available in 1st Clock 2.0, will be lost 
   if alarm will be loaded in 1st Clock 1.0.

Please send us your reports, notes and suggestions on this pre-release
version. Active testers will receive full version of 1st Clock 2.0 
for free!


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
===================

To run 1st Clock, your system must meet the following 
minimum requirements:

- A 486 with a 66 MHz processor (Pentium processor recommended)
  running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or 
  Windows Me.
- For Microsoft Windows 95:
    8 MB of RAM minimum
  For Microsoft Windows NT:
    16 MB of RAM minimum
- For Microsoft Windows NT: 
    It is recommended to run Service Pack 3 (or higher)
- 1,5 MB of hard-disk space
- Mouse (optional, but highly recommended)


SETUP
=====

Installing 1st Clock
--------------------

To install 1st Clock run the "Setup.exe" and follow the
instructions. You'll need to select the target directory. To
launch the program use "Start|Programs|1st Clock" menu.


Batch installation
------------------

You can perform batch installation - installation without or
with minimal user participation. The following flags can be
used to minimize the setup program UI:

  Setup /r:n /q:1 

    99% quiet mode, some errors will still popup
    warnings 

  Setup /r:n /q:a 
  
    Totally quiet, with no popup even on error conditions 


Uninstalling 1st Clock
--------------------------
You can uninstall 1st Clock by carrying out the following steps:

1. In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
2. Click "1st Clock 1.0", and then click Add/Remove.
3. Follow the instructions on your screen.

=====================

Full version of 1st Clock stores all your customization
settings and has no nag screens.

1st File Descriptor (ZDNet 5-star!)

1st File Descriptor is a handy utility that adds several useful
options to the context (right-click) menu of Windows Explorer.
You can use it to add descriptions to files, folders, or archives,
the first line of which will appear on the context menu. 
Additionally you can open .zip and .rar archives, extract files
from them, or view text files which can then be easily imported
into the description. You can also use it to view and/or modify
file dates and attributes. If you frequently wonder what a file is,
even using long filenames, then 1st File Descriptor will solve
that problem for you.

1st QuickLaunch
---------------

1st QuickLaunch helps you to define keyboard shortcuts for
launching your favorite applications, phone numbers and Web pages.
You can create shortcuts to system folders such as My Computer,
Control Panel, Printers, and more. You can also open a small drop
basket to drag and drop new applications without hiding the desktop.

In addition, you can transfer shortcuts between computers, and view
unused keys while creating new shortcuts. You simply specify the
command-line parameters, starting directory, and initial window state
for every application.

You can add, remove, and modify your keyboard shortcuts using its

1st PalmXonix
-------------

1st PalmXonix is a fast moving game of strategy. The object is 
to claim space quickly while avoiding enemies. You move a white 
dot across a field, cutting across the board to claim space. 
While you're doing this, you must avoid black dots, white 
stars, and anything that moves. You advance to the next level 
as soon as you fill 75 percent of the board. The registered 
version features nine levels of varying difficulty. Check

1st PalmHanoi
-------------

In this puzzle game based on the Towers of Hanoi game, you must 
move rings from one tower to another. A ring can only go onto 
an empty tower, or a tower with a larger ring on it. The full 
version allows you to play with up to nine rings.
