I have put together this list of projects that I need to complete on the Airstream. Of course, more things will come up as I go along but so far this is what needs doing. My hope is that this plan will help keep me on track and focused. Otherwise I may end up with many half-finished projects.
The items in red are the ones I think
need to be completed before our first trip next summer. I would like to have all of the
Short-term items completed before the VAC rally in
Short-Term:
Snow has stopped (mostly) and work in moving again.
Interior:
1. Kill Ants - complete
2. Serious cleaning – mostly complete
3. Paint interior (except bath) – complete
4. Replace light above sink – complete
5. Cover to protect bed foam mattress – complete
6. Paint inside of window frames and clean vents – complete
7. Repair sink trap
8. Replace foam and upholstery on front gaucho (futon) - temp complete
9. New Curtains - in progress
10. New tile flooring
11. Sand, stain and varnish interior wood - in progress
12. Restore original folding table and chairs
Exterior:
13. Replace regulator, tanks and hoses for propane
14. Replace umbilical cord and plug - in progress.
15. Repair tears in belly wrap
16. Sand and paint A-frame and rear bumper
17. Sand and paint step
18. Clean and reinstall screens - in progress.
19. Sew new awning
20. Replace spare tire
Medium-Term:
22. Wet
a. Get toilet working - in progress
b. Replace original hand shower
c. Re-plumb bathroom
d. Refinish shower pan
e. Refinish non-alum walls in bath
f. Paint alum walls in bath
23. Polishing
25. Install phone and cable hookups
26. AC
27. Replace fridge when it dies
28. Take out stove/oven and have it serviced (and top recoated if I can match the color)
29. Remove and rehab or replace the floor heater
