The Perfect World

If I could turn the world around
and make it new again,
I would be more particular
with the people I put in.

A smile would greet each new day
sincere love for fellow man.
No lock would be needed upon a door
And each would lend a helping hand.

Wildlife would roam the hills and woods
No cement would there be
Each stream and river, crystal clear
and only necessity would cut a tree.

And then I'd think it perfect
if no laws were needed there
Only the sounds of laughter
would polute the air.
