| *The film industry is tough to keep up with, there is tons to follow. All of these sites are daily visits for me, and this is where I get my info from. Links To Movie Related Sites: (General Sites With Reviews, Interviews, Clips, Etc) IMDb: The Internet Movie Database, find anything about anything here. They have actor profiles, and listings for every movie ever made, plus forums. IGN Filmforce: A great site with reviews, interviews, clips, etc. Premiere Magazine: Read reviews and articles from the only film magazine out there I subscribe to. Rotten Tomatoes: Hate one-sided reviews? RT collects every major review written for a movie and gives it a score based on how many good reviews it got. Hollywood.com: Hollywood is where I basically got the format for writing my reviews, even though their reviews are not the best. Links To Industry Related News: (Industry News, Studio News, Upcoming Projects, and Box Office Grosses) The Hollywood Reporter: The most credible source when it comes to industry news, subscription is a few hundred dollars but the free service is enough for me. Box Office Prophets: My favorite site when it comes to box office analysis, they have predictions on friday and then analysis on Sunday or Monday. Links To DVD Related News & Reviews: (Studio Releases, News, Cover Arts, etc) DVD Active: My #1 resource site when it comes to DVD releases and specifications. The moment a studio releases info or artwork, they post it. Great forums. The Digital Bits: Sometimes the Digital Bits gets studio announcements posted before DVD Active, and they have great industry sources, website is dull though. IGN DVD: Another channel of IGN, my top DVD review site. Great in-depth reviews of DVD audio and DVD video quality as well as analysis of extras. Links To Movie Trailer Related Sites: (Theatrical & Teasers) Apple Trailers: Apple.com has the best trailer page out there. View the most recent trailers in Quicktime here. Movie List: Trailers, Period. This site has some trailers you wont find on Apple, plus you can download most of them to your hardrive from here. Links To Soundtrack & Score Related Sites: (Composer Profiles & Score Reviews) Music From The Movies: Keep up to date with film score news and reviews. Soundtrack.net: Great articles and reviews of film scores, search the easy to use archives to find past reviews. Soundtrack.net Trailers: Ever watch a movie trailer and just was blown away from the music? Find trailer music listings for almost any movie here. Other Sites For Reference: DTS: The leader in film sound, if you have a DTS decoder on your Home Theater then you know what surround sound is. Dolby Digital: DD is a huge leader in the film sound industry, and 90% of DVD's use them because it takes up less space on discs, but they are no match for DTS Partners In Rhyme: Need music for a project, but don't want the hassel of getting distribution rights or paying HUGE fees. Buy royalty free music here. Sonnyboo Downloads: Great little downloads here to use in film projects including storyboard templates. |
