In Oddball, managers get to select teams and tactics for matches that are played every three weeks. They also get to buy and sell players in an effort to assemble a championship winning squad. And can do other management like stuff, such as negotiate player contracts and sign up coaches to improve their players. They can also employ people to scout foreign talent, or scour local leagues for future stars, or just check out their next opponents.
All the match reports, done deals and other news gets reported in a zine that gets posted on the 'oddballfootballmanagers' Yahoo! group site.
If you want to check out the latest issue or the rules, go to the 'files' bit at the group site. In the future, reporting of the latest action should appear on the Oddball website, but exactly when depends on how much time I have and how qickly I get the hang of web page building.
