| What in the world is a spiritual diet, you may ask. It is really the simplest, most natural weight loss plan you have ever attmepted. All it means is to think of yourself as a spiritual being, and look at your body as the home for that spirit. You must take care of the house. If you invested in a home, you wouldn't purposly destroy it by filling it with junk, lard, and toxic chemicals, would you? You do just that to your body everyday. When you think about it, the old cliche is true: "Your body is a temple". Why do Americans have this obsession with foods and dieting? It is because our spirits need nurishing, and we ignore them. When we are lonley, bored, sad, angry, upset, or celebrating, we eat. How many of you women have been told, "Chocolate can cure PMS" or "Caffine is helpful for headaches and memory-retintion"? That is, excuse my language, a big bunch of crap! We are then told to start crazy "fad" diets that do nothing but deprive us and set us up for failure. Those cool new "Low-Carb" diets or "Juice Fast" diets are not as great as they advertise. The diet pills are worse. How many people got addicted to diet pills in the sixties, seventies, and eighties? How about the heart disease Phen-fen gave people, or the deaths attributed recently to Ephedrine? All this to loose weight? Scarry, huh? Before starting a weight loss plan, any weight loss plan, you need to do two things. First: Look at the reasons you are overweight, and why you feel you need to loose. If you want to loose ten pounds to fit into that special dress next month, then maybe you just need to buy a bigger dress. If you have built up being "thin" to believe it is the magic cure-all for all that's wrong with your life, then you need to address the other problems first. Second: Print this out and go see your doctor. Never, ever read some diet off a website, and start on it without a Dr's approval. Just don't let them prescribe you any drugs to "help you along." You never know what side-effect the new so-called "safer" drugs will bring. Okay, thinking is one thing. Doing is another. I have lost 40 lbs by using this philosphy, and I know that you can too. Next, you must put the philosophy into action. In the following pages will be tips to help you become healthier. I hope that you find everything you need, and I hope that you start to feel as healthy as I now feel. I will not be giving out recipies or food plans, becasue I am not a nutritionist, and you are smart enough to figure out what is healthy, and what is not.
