TEN THINGS TO DO FOR YOURSELF TO TURN YOUR LIFE AROUND
1. Meditate. If you do not know how, then start researching. If you do not have time, then do it first thing in the morning when you wake up or right before you fall asleep each night. But, meditate.
2. Turn off the television. If you surround yourself with negative energy, such as The Jerry Springer Show or the horrors of the 6 o'clock news, then you will start drawing negative energy into yourself.
3. Move around. If you have small children, this is easy. Play with them! Take them outside and chase them around the yard. Go for a walk. If not, then join a fitness program, or turn on some music and just dance around the living room. Or, clean your house. Remember, your body was made to be in motion most of the day. We are doing damage to ourselves and our spirits when we sit in the rocking chair or lay on the couch all day.
4. Read something uplifting. You're doing this right now, reading my ramblings on this webpage. The internet is an endless source of uplifting, spiritual reading. Just remember not to stay parked there at your computer too long. (see number 3)
5. Learn something new. Have you always wanted to make a craft, learn the words to a song, or study history? The resources are out there: It is up to you to get on it. You will be so proud of yourself when you learn the new information.
6. Eat healthy foods. No, I am not advocating going on a diet, or becoming a vegatarian. But, eating more healthier foods will help your body to run cleaner, and in the long run help you to be more spiritual. Also, drink 64 oz. of water every day. It sounds like alot, but if you use a Super-size cup from McDonalds, you only have to fill it twice.
7. Do a good deed. Call your grandmother and listen to her tell you all about your garden. Give a guy in front of you in the grocery line a penny when he's low on change. Do some volunteer work, or give to a non-profit program. Smile at someone who is having a bad day. If everyone made the commitment to do a good day everyday, then this world would be a much better place to live.
8. Have a meaningful conversation. How many people do you come into contact with everyday? How well do you know those people? How well do you know the people you live with? All you have to do to have a meaningful convesation with an average person is ask them questions about themselves. They are usually more than happy to answer them.
9. Pray. I pray for my children and loved ones every morning and light a candle and incense. The Divine Spirit just wants to hear from us and to be worshiped in a positive way. He/she gets tired of hearing, "And gimmie this, and gimmie that, and if you just do this for me, I'll never ask you for another thing." Once a day, before you start the "gimmies", just light a white candle and thank the Divine Spirit for what you have. Even if all you can say is that you're alive, well, at least that's something.
10. Think. Keep a journal of your random thoughts and meditations. Soon, you will start to see patterns in your life. These may be challenges that you need to overcome, or the natural pattern of thought for you. You may start to see hints of psychic power. Do not worry about being too "deep" or "analytical." Have you been happy being non-analytical so far in your life? Then maybe its time to start figuring out the world and learning from your life lessons. Think about it.
