| Here's a recent photo of "Flippy" at Pond Island, near Castine, taken Sept. 5th. We finally had two decent weekends of sunny, summerlike weather this year! I went to Warren Island and around Seven Hundred Acre Island, off Camden, Sept. 11th, and it was perfect ... almost no wind, glasslike seas.... |
| Just off Cape Rosier on Labor Day. The rudder comes in handy when the waves kick up, as they did later that day, and there were large following seas on the way back to the mainland. But if I had to do it all over again, I'd use the lower-profile rudder or a skeg... |
